About this event
A painting should relate to the pleasures of seeing;
be it the enjoyment one gets from viewing a beautiful scene outdoors, an object or objects, or anything which connects positively with the brain.
I’m infatuated with oil paint.
I like the way it looks, feels, and presents itself to the world.
Viewing a painting is much more than simply looking at an image.
Oil painting is a mode of expression that I hope will last for centuries after I’m gone.
Una pintura debe estar relacionada con el placer de ver; ya sea el disfrute que se obtiene al contemplar un hermoso paisaje al aire libre, un objeto u objetos, o cualquier cosa que conecte positivamente con el cerebro. Me encanta la pintura al óleo. Me gusta su aspecto, su tacto y cómo se presenta al mundo. Contemplar un cuadro es mucho más que simplemente mirar una imagen. La pintura al óleo es un modo de expresión que espero que perdure durante siglos después de que yo me haya ido.
