Alexander the Great Lecture

Abigail Palmer will focus on the life and legacy of Alexander the Great. From his youth in Macedonia to the world that he made through his military conquests, we will discuss the personality and the deeds that gave Alexander the fame that endures to this day. The talk will conclude with a consideration of Alexander’s literary and cultural afterlife in the Middle Ages, where he became something like the world’s first superhero.
