Terry McIlmoil Henry, a UC Davis alumnus, moved to the Napa Valley upon receiving her Bachelors of Science in Dietetics and began working at the Robert Mondavi Winery. She spent more than 33 years working in the wine industry for both Robert Mondavi and then for Constellation Brands when they purchased Mondavi in December 2004. Upon retirement, she enrolled in an art course at Napa Valley College with Pam Jones. It was the beginning of a journey to fulfill that life long dream to learn to paint and to enhance her creative spirit. Through exploring collage, watercolor, oil pastels, acrylic and oil painting in that class, she found she most enjoyed watercolor and oil painting. Terry then studied with a local Napa Valley oil painter, Christine Olivo, for 5 years and is currently taking workshops from Elio Camacho and Deirdre Shibano and attending classes with Connie Wright at Napa Valley College. Terry finds both mediums to be challenging yet quite different from one another. The selections here on display include oils of vineyards of the Napa Valley, several Sedona landscapes, portraits and a few watercolor landscapes. She hopes you enjoy her work and find that it gives you as much joy as it gives her while she is creating it.
