What are library databases?

Library databases:

  • Contain information from published works. Examples: Magazine and newspaper articles, encyclopedias and other reference books.
  • Are searchable. By Keywords, Subject, Author, Magazine Title, Date, etc.
  • Are available to you 24-hours a day. Even when the library is closed, you can access these databases using your library card from any computer that has the Internet.
