Celebrate Asian American and Asian Pacific Heritage month with us virtually on May 13th at 6pm. We’ll be making our own mochi with chef Kenji Yokoo, founder of the Bay Area based “Kenji’s Kitchen”.
For this VIRTUAL Zoom event the library is providing participants with mochi flour so you can follow along with Kenji as we make mochi from the comfort of our own kitchens!
Kenji will teach you how to make Japanese mochi treats in three ways. Mochi has a wonderful chewy texture, sweet (but not too sweet) flavor and is naturally gluten free. Pick up the special flour and recipe card at the library before the event so you can follow along!
The whole family can participate in this event!
