In April Focus on Film is showing movies about The Writer’s Life to celebrate National Poetry Month. As bestselling novelist Kay Eiffel (Maggie Gyllenhaal) struggles with how to kill off her main character, IRS auditor Harold Crick (Will Ferrell) begins hearing her voice in his head and slowly realizes that he must stop his own death. Also stars Dustin Hoffman, Queen Latifah, Emma Thompson, and Kristin Chenoweth.

Be a “Reader of the Pack” with 4Paws Be a “Reader of the Pack” with 4Paws

Children have the opportunity to read to a special friend—a canine one! This furry friend promises not to be critical and to be a very good listener! After nine visits with a Reading Buddy, children will earn a new, free book donated by the 4Paws Learning Center.

Teen Advisory Board Teen Advisory Board

Join us on the first Thursday of every month at 4:30 pm to help plan upcoming activities for teens at your library! Share your ideas for activities and for book discussions and movies––and prepare to have fun. We’ll even feed you! You may earn community service hours by participating on this committee and assisting with the activities you help plan.
