Board of Trustees of the
Minutes of the Meeting of February 10, 2010
Present: Robert Darter, Bonnie Long and Lynda Burton. No
representative from Friend's. Leslie filled in for Jennifer who was in the
hospital having her baby. Leslie reported that she will be acting Library
Director during Jennifer's parental leave.
The
minutes from last months meeting were approved and consent items adopted (if
there were any.
We
discussed the progress of the interior designed and especially praised the staff
for shouldering tasks above and beyond the call of duty.
Leslie reported that while the Friends will help out with June Fest, they are
not in a position to be in charge of organizing it. Robyn Orsini has
volunteered to be in charge in conjunction with the Library Foundation.
Robyn and the Foundation felt the Open House celebrating the Library redesign
should be combined with June FEst. The Trustees felt the June
Fest/Open House is a good opportunity to thank some of the civic and
community leaders who have so long supported the libraryin generally and the
redesign specifically, as well as highlight the library redesign and Library
resources. Leslie said she would convey the Trustee's sentiments to Robyn.
Trustee Lynda Burton volunteer to serve as the Trustee's representative to the
June Fest/Open House organizing group.
Trustees also discussed Exterior signage, the Library Donor recognition policy
and SNAP budget draft
The
Friends submitted their budget. The Friends submitted their Treasurer's Report
for November 12, 2009-January 19, 2010.
No
report from Wine Library or Historical Society.
Leslie reported that she and Robyn Orsini presented the Library's annual report
to the City Council. Trustees Susan Swan and Lynda Burton were also
present as were a number of Library Staff and Friends.
THe
meeting adjorned at 5:45pm so that the trustees could watch the power point
presentation of the annual report.
