Our governing body, the Library Board of Trustees is appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council. It consists of five members who each serve 3 year terms. The Library Trustees have the power to establish and enforce rules, regulations, and bylaws necessary for the administration and protection of the public library, subject to the approval and confirmation of the City Council.

The regular meeting of the Library Board of Trustees is held the second Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. in the Library Board Room at the George and Elsie Wood Public Library, 1492 Library Lane, St. Helena, CA 94574. All Trustees’ meetings are open to the public.
